Principal Electrical Engineer(Power Supplies)

We’re looking for innovative and enthusiastic achievers to join our team in Charleston, TN, as a Power Supply Engineer.

Your Role:

As a Power Supply Engineer reporting to the Sr. Engineering Manager in Central Infrastructure, you’ll ensure the uninterrupted power supply at our Charleston site. You’ll provide technical support in electrical engineering, manage power supply equipment, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and support capital and expense projects related to power supply.
  • Coordinate third-party service providers.
  • Maintain and operate 161kV, 13.8kV, 5kV, and 480V networks, including troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
  • Manage emergency generators and UPS systems.
  • Act as the main contact for the power utility company, create energy reports, and analyze power billing.
  • Maintain and update electrical duct banks and the ETAP Software for power supply models.
  • Coordinate external repair of electrical equipment.
  • Support capital projects with power supply expertise.
  • Ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations of production units.
  • Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, and cost.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred).
  • 15+ years in power utility or high-energy industries like pulp & paper, refineries, or chemical plants.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to handle schedule and cost pressures.
  • Expertise in power supply, electrical engineering, and instrumentation, with knowledge of relevant regulations and standards.
  • Experience with power distribution systems and equipment (161kV to 480V).
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (mainly to Germany).

Preferred Software Skills:

  • ETAP, DIGSI, WinCC, SICAM, SIGRA, PI, EXCEL-PI DataLink, COMOS.
