Navarro Research and Engineering is recruiting a PFAS Treatment and Remediation SME.

The PFAS (Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) Treatment and Remediation SME will use their knowledge and experience to lead the remediation processes for a NASA facility.
- Operations, maintenance, and monitoring of a PFAS treatment system for a public water supply.
- Investigating and characterizing PFAS and other contaminants in the environment.
- PFAS remediation evaluation and design, including developing and conducting pilot studies or treatability studies to remediate or control PFAS migration.
- Providing expert risk communications support for disseminating information to facility employees and the public.
- Providing program support, such as preparing Site Management Plans, maintaining analytical databases and administrative records, and providing technical consultation.
- Serve as the leading authority on PFAS, providing expert advice and guidance on the latest treatment technologies, regulatory requirements, and best practices in PFAS management.
- Conduct comprehensive site assessments to identify sources of PFAS contamination and assess the extent of environmental impact.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including environmental engineers, scientists, regulatory agencies, and contractors, to ensure a coordinated and effective approach to PFAS management.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for leadership, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders, communicating progress, challenges, and outcomes of PFAS remediation efforts.
- Stay abreast of advancements in PFAS research, treatment technologies, and regulatory changes, ensuring PFAS management practices are at the forefront of the field.
Requirements
- Advanced degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in environmental remediation, with a strong focus on PFAS treatment technologies and strategies.
- Demonstrated expertise in the design, implementation, and management of large-scale environmental remediation projects.
- In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations and guidelines related to PFAS.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Excellent communication, project management, and leadership skills.
- Ability to innovate and adapt in a rapidly evolving field.
