Manager, Cloud Engineering

The Manager of Cloud Engineering & Operations is responsible for building and maintaining the SaaS product cloud environments at Medalogix.  Reporting to the VP of Infrastructure & Operations, this position will be hands-on in the mix of the work while providing day-to-day guidance to the Cloud Engineers.  Together they will help in the continued build-out and maturing of our next-generation, cloud-native product platforms as well as harden our operational practices across all platforms ensuring stability and availability.  The candidate will join the Cloud Engineering team bringing additional skills both technical and managerial and experiences that further elevate our team.  A great candidate will bring passion and discipline to building and maintaining our cloud environments focused on customer satisfaction.  A successful candidate will bring significant value and have a meaningful impact on our success.  They will have elevated the company’s technology acumen and “swagger” that builds on our great culture today. 

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, providing direction, strategic guidance, constructive feedback and training   
• Be hands-on aiding in the delivery of cloud solutions.
• Partner with the architects and delivery teams to develop and execute a forward-thinking cloud strategy and roadmap in alignment with business goals
• Manage and oversee the delivery and support of cloud solutions utilizing the Microsoft Azure platform
• Ensure optimal performance, availability, and security of systems and applications; promptly address and troubleshoot any issues or incidents
• Collaborate seamlessly with IT leaders and stakeholders, delivering regular reports and updates on infrastructure and support status and progress
• Evaluate and implement innovative technologies and solutions to enhance infrastructure and support capabilities
• Maintain visibility into and help manage cloud spend

Requirements

• Bachelor's in computer science, MIS, or related fields, or equivalent work experience
• Over 7 years of experience in technical and/or leadership roles in IT, with a minimum of 4 years specializing in cloud solutions using Microsoft Azure
• 2+ years of hands-on experience building and maintaining cloud services in a HIPAA, HiTrust, or equivalently regulated ndustry
• Proficiency in Microsoft Azure platform and services, backed by relevant certifications (Azure Administrator, Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, etc.)
• Solid grasp of cloud architectures, standards, and security best practices
• Proven track record in project management, including overseeing budgets, schedules, and resources, utilizing tools like Azure DevOps
• Strong knowledge of Azure/AWS cloud services, network/routing, shared storage concepts, and Windows security best practices
• Working knowledge of AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service) preferred.
• Experience establishing Monitoring/Alerting, Incident & Problem Management standards would be favorable

• Experience building SaaS products in a highly available and scalable Azure environment using serverless, containers, storage architectures
• ·Experience with Azure Monitoring and Governance – Blueprints, Policies, Monitor, Purview, Application Insights, Sentinel
• ·Ability to translate product ideas into technical requirements 
• Willingness to work in a highly collaborative, team-based culture
• Preference to reside in the Nashville metro area
