IT Helpdesk Technician (Temporary - 6 Month Contract to Hire)
Location: Knoxville, TN (On-site)
Work Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday
Position Type: Temporary (6 Month Contract to Hire)
Overview: We are seeking a dedicated IT Helpdesk Technician for a 6-month contract to hire position. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing top-notch IT support to our staff, ensuring smooth technical operations. This role requires a solid understanding of Windows environments and experience with Office 365 user setup and password management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, and in-person.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner.
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows computer systems and peripherals.
- Assist with Office 365 user setup and password management.
- Maintain accurate records of support requests, issues, and resolutions using the helpdesk ticketing system.
- Follow up with end-users to ensure issues are fully resolved and provide excellent customer service.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to escalate and resolve complex issues.
- Ensure compliance with company IT policies and procedures.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- 1 to 2 years of experience as an IT Helpdesk Technician or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems.
- Experience with Office 365 user setup and password management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CompTIA A+ or similar certification.
- Experience with helpdesk ticketing systems.
