The Industrial Engineer will join a growing team of Health, Safety & Engineering professionals helping our customers reduce their work-related risk to quality, productivity, and employee health.
Successful candidates will have the following attributes:
- Ability to establish priorities, and work both independently and with a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Demonstrates a qualified and professional manager appearance, and provides a competent representation of Sandalwood to the customer
- Experience doing Time Study analysis based on MODAPTS.
- Experience doing rebalances and optimizing workstation designs.
- Experience creating operator instruction sheets with visual aids.
- Ability to establish priorities, work independently with direction, as well as in a team, proceed with objectives, meet deadlines, and be able to follow instructions
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze workstation designs, and propose changes to implement changes to optimize productivity and employee health.
- Create Operator Instruction Sheets with visual aids to improve and ensure optimization of work sequence.
- Identify and help lead to the resolution, of any issues critical to quality, process, workstation design, labor standards, or ergonomics
- Participate in and support team activities on projects, working collaboratively with technical specialists
- Work with multidisciplinary teams rebalancing workstations.
- Development and delivery of training.
Requirements
- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline
- At least 3- years of experience in Industrial Engineering roles
- Experience proposing rebalances
- Must be able to provide on-site support
- Excellent communication skills
- Advanced proficiency with MS Office and Issue Management
- Creative and technical problem solver with strong leadership and decision-making skills
- Advanced knowledge and experience with manufacturing process controls, data collection, and lean manufacturing methodologies
- Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification is an asset
