Full Job Description

NCG Associates is a reputable healthcare staffing company known for its exceptional onboarding and recruitment services. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). As an ICU RN at NCG Associates, you will have the opportunity to provide high-quality and specialized care to critically ill patients.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and monitor patients' conditions and vital signs
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Monitor and interpret patients' cardiac rhythms and other vital signs
  • Provide advanced life support and interventions in emergency situations
  • Perform various diagnostic tests and procedures
  • Assist in the coordination and provision of patient education and discharge planning
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in critical care nursing practices and participate in continuing education
  • Provide emotional support to patients and their families
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals

Requirements

  • Valid and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the state of practice
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in an ICU setting
  • Strong knowledge of critical care nursing principles and practices
  • Expertise in interpreting complex cardiac rhythms and administering advanced life support
  • Advanced certification in Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) preferred
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records and other relevant healthcare software
