Forklift Operator

Millington manufacturing company is seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods within our facilities. You will be responsible for operating a forklift in a safe and responsible manner, performing various warehouse tasks, and adhering to all safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Maneuver and operate powered industrial forklifts to load and unload materials and deliveries
• Transport goods to and from designated areas in the warehouse
• Stack and organize products in designated storage areas
• Verify materials and products for accuracy and quantity
• Inspect forklifts before and after use to ensure proper functioning and report any defects or malfunctions
• Maintain clean and organized work areas
• Comply with company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or similar setting
• Valid forklift operator certification
• Proficient in operating various types of forklifts, including sit-down and stand-up models
• Strong knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and procedures
• Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds
• Excellent coordination and spatial awareness skills
• Basic computer skills and ability to navigate inventory management systems
