DevOps Engineer
As a DevOps Engineer, this is your opportunity to design, implement, maintain, and support our growing network infrastructure. You will be part of a systems engineering team that is responsible for designing and developing scalable, maintainable, highly available network architectures that meet business objectives and DoD and NISP requirements. This role will also provide support as a subject-matter expert in multiple areas of network and information security for client project security-related requirements. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience and knowledge in designing, implementing, and maintaining multi-layer networks.
Requirements
- Design and deploy networks and related computing environments. (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, etc.) in cloud and on-premise
- Implementing various development, testing, automation tools, and IT infrastructure
- Defining and setting development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operation
- Have the technical skill to review, verify, and validate the software code developed in the project.
- Monitoring the processes during the entire lifecycle for its adherence and updating or creating new processes for improvement and minimizing the wastage
- Encouraging and building automated processes wherever possible
- Identifying and deploying cybersecurity measures by continuously performing vulnerability assessment and risk management
- Troubleshooting skills with root cause analysis ability
- Coordination and communication within the team and with customers
- Selecting and deploying appropriate CI/CD tools
- Strive for continuous improvement and build continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipeline (CI/CD Pipeline)
- Perform and validate completion of network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations.
- Mentor team members on technical issues.
- Enforce information security policies, standards, and controls to the business while managing risk appropriately.
- Ability to travel (up to 20%).
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- B.S. degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience
- Solid understanding of Cloud Deployments and Services (AWS or Azure)
- 5+ years of DevOps/Network Engineering in information systems, network security, and device management.
- Good understanding of languages such as Python, Perl, Java and Ruby to accomplish tasks.
- Solid understanding of multi-layer networks, firewall concepts and tunneling protocols, and network access to include TCP/IP, switching, routing, VPN topologies, virtual route forwarding and VLANs.
- Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS)
- Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytic tools.
- Experience with Agile development
- 5+ experience creating and implementing network designs.
- 5+ experience drafting and presenting technical documentation.
- Demonstrated experience with security frameworks like CSA, NIST, CIS, PCI DSS, etc.
- Demonstrated experience with DoD and NISPOM security related.
