Custodian for Automotive Dealership

Martin Automotive Group is seeking a Custodian to join our team at our Nashville Subaru & Hyundai of Hickory Hollow locations. As a custodian, you will play an essential role in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of our facilities. This position requires attention to detail, efficiency, and a strong work ethic. If you thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, we would love to hear from you. Must be available to work during business hours (example: 8a-430p or 9a-5p)

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the cleanliness of all areas including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
• Empty trash bins and replace liners.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies.
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels of cleaning supplies.
• Dusting daily, dust high areas weekly.
• Sweep each technician’s stall when empty.
• Assist technicians with oil and water spills and with emptying drain tubs.
• Clean and remove dirt/grease as necessary (including handrails).
• Run errands as directed by Service Manager.
• Scrub floors as directed.
• Wash windows and glass doors in facility as directed.
• Clean vending machines, coffee counters, water fountains, customer lounge, employee break room, including all appliances in employee break room.
• Complete all training as directed by supervisor.
• Follow policies and procedures as set forth in Employee Handbook.
• Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Follow all health and safety regulations.
• Assist with setting up and tearing down for events or meetings.
• Any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Prior custodial or janitorial experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques and equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
