Crate Builder Teamlead - INTERNAL POSTING - Open to Middleton FLC employees only

***INTERNAL DEPARTMENTAL POSTING*** - OPEN TO MIDDLETON FLC EMPLOYEES ONLY

• Construct crates using wood, nails, and nail guns & staple guns 

• Make sure crates are in good condition (Repair when needed) 

• Maintain a steady workflow by following procedures accurately and timely 

• Perform duties with minimal supervision 

• Keep the work area in a clean and orderly condition 

• Perform assigned duties with quality in mind 

• Follow all company instructions, safety policies, and rules 

• Perform other duties as required and/or assigned. 

• Operate a forklift (as needed) 

• Lead and motivate a team of [number] employees, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and job satisfaction. Conduct regular team meetings, set clear goals, and provide feedback. 

• Oversee daily operations and assign tasks to team members based on their strengths and project requirements. Monitor progress, resolve issues, and ensure tasks are completed efficiently and on time. 

• Track and evaluate team performance against established goals and metrics. 

Requirements

Education and/or Work Experience

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (preferred) 

• Prior Manufacturing experience (preferred) 

• Prior Woodworking experience (preferred) 

Preferred Skills and Abilities

• Ability to follow verbal instructions 

• Ability to read color labels and identify products 

• Ability to read tape measure 

• Ability to use saw, nail guns, and other hand tools 

• Basic math skills 

• Forklift training  

• Ability to count 

• Proficiency in crate building techniques and tools. 

• Knowledge of safety standards and best practices. 

• Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities.
