Our company has grown to include 3 divisions: John Deere Ag, Material Handling and Powersports across 10 states. This position is located in Sioux Falls, SD at our Field Support Office. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Wholesale Salesperson for our John Deere Agricultural Equipment Dealership. The successful candidate will be responsible for selling used agricultural equipment to a diverse range of clients including jockeys, wholesalers, inline dealers, and competitive dealers.
Essential Duties:
- **Sales Strategy Execution:** Develop and implement effective sales strategies to target and sell used agricultural equipment to a broad spectrum of dealers across various regions
- **Customer Engagement:** Actively engage with jockeys, wholesalers, inline dealers, and competitive dealers, establishing strong relationships and understanding their unique needs
- **Nationwide & International Sales:** Handle sales transactions that span coast to coast, including some international exports, expanding the dealership's reach and market influence
- **Product Knowledge:** Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the features, benefits, and unique selling points of John Deere's used agricultural equipment
- **Sales Targets:** Consistently meet or exceed sales targets by effectively negotiating deals and closing sales with various stakeholders in the agricultural equipment market
- **Market Analysis:** Continuously monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new sales opportunities and to stay ahead in the industry
- **Client Relationship Management:** Develop long-term relationships with clients to ensure repeat business and to foster a positive reputation for the dealership
- **Reporting:** Provide regular reports on sales activities, market trends, and customer feedback to management for strategic planning
Requirements
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in the agricultural equipment industry
- Strong understanding of the wholesale market and the ability to engage effectively with various types of dealers
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to travel extensively and manage sales across different regions
- Knowledge of John Deere agricultural equipment is highly advantageous
- Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record
- Ability to meet physical demands and duration of physical exertion generally required to perform tasks in support of all job functions, for example - sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling
