Senior FP&A Analyst

C & B Equipment, a progressive family-owned company with over 30 years of experience specializig in selling John Deere equipment, has an opening for a Senior FP&A Analyst at our Field Support Office in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Among other things, this individual will be primarily responsible for leading the budgeting, forecasting, monthly reporting, and ad hoc reporting functions. The individual will need to able to extract and handle big data in an efficient manner.

Esssential Duties:

• Play a key role in the completion of the annual budget using third-party software and Microsoft Excel
• Prepare and analyze internal cash availability and financial statement (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow) forecasting models
• Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and ad hoc financial reporting analysis
• Ability to extract and manage big data to support ad hoc financial data requests suitable for financial and non-financial users
• Ability to utilize SQL in order to extract data in an efficient manner
• Lead in the development and ongoing maintenance of Power BI and other software tools to help streamline data analytics and reporting
• Preparation of internal monthly financial statement reporting and fluctuation analysis
• Prepare and help evaluate financial return metrics, including return on investment for proposed capital projects
• Prepare compensation calculations for company commission and incentive plans
• Execute or approve daily wires, ACH, and cash transfers
• Assist with treasury implementations and initiatives
• Prepare and forecast monthly required debt covenants
• Provide ongoing variance analysis of actuals vs budget/forecast/prior year to identify issues, errors, or trends
• Ability to provide clear and concise commentary to management associated with financial analysis and key business processes
• Ability to problem solve and perform root cause analysis by working with other departments and performing deep analysis
• When required, conduct financial due diligence for potential M&A activity
• Special projects and ad hoc analysis may be required

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, statistics, economics, business, business administration, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in Finance, Accounting, and/or Financial Planning and Analysis
• Experience writing SQL queries to analyze data
• Proficient in Excel, including creating visualizations
• Experience developing reports and dashboards using PowerBi
• Technical understanding of data models and database design
• Proven ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and high accuracy
• Strong analytical skills
• Communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Work independently
• Experience using the following software:
• Microsoft Power BI

• Anaplan

• Microsoft Azure

• John Deere Specific ERP Software
