Full Job Description

Retail Merchandising Services, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Retail Merchandiser to join our team in the retail industry. As a Retail Merchandiser, you will play a crucial role in maintaining product displays, promoting merchandise, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for customers.

In this position, you will collaborate with store managers and assist in implementing visual merchandising strategies to drive sales and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for maintaining proper stock levels, organizing shelves, setting up displays, and rearranging products as needed. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work with various product categories, including apparel, electronics, home goods, and seasonal items.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain product displays and create visually appealing merchandising layouts
  • Ensure compliance with company standards and store policies for product placement and presentation
  • Stock shelves and replenish merchandise to optimize sales opportunities
  • Collaborate with store managers to implement promotional events and displays
  • Conduct regular inventory counts to ensure accurate stock levels
  • Monitor product expiration dates and remove expired items from shelves
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving any issues related to merchandise or displays

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in retail merchandising or visual merchandising preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow visual guidelines
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic math skills and the ability to handle cash transactions
  • Proficient in using technology, such as smartphones or tablets, for reporting and communication purposes
