Full Job Description
C & B Equipment, a progressive family-owned company that has grown over 30 years to include John Deere ag, material handling and powersports locations, has an opening for a marketing intern at its Sioux Falls, SD, Field Support Office. A marketing intern at C & B Equipment performs content gathering and strategy, helps tell the customer story and executes tasks across marketing systems while asking questions, bringing forth new ideas and continuing to find motivation in marketing practices.
Essential Duties:
- Learn C & B’s marketing methods and brand identity regarding tone, voice and content goals
- Work directly with supervisor and/or other marketing team members to understand the goals of the team and how to best contribute to moving the needle for C & B
- Explore the following areas:
- Content planning & execution that engages the customer and/or tells the customer experience
- Develop assets for use across multiple marketing channels
- Learn marketing systems and how to generate more conversions
- Execute tasks assigned to you regarding social media, web/print assets, events and other requests. Platforms you would work with relate to social media posting/scheduling, email marketing software, the Adobe suite, Canva and more
- Multi-tasking and the ability to juggle multiple projects on an on-going basis. The ability to be flexible and prioritize projects are keys for success in this role
- Learn more about equipment in Ag, Material Handling and Powersports to help promote opportunities
Requirements
- This person should be pursuing a degree in marketing or related field at the collegiate level and have completed at least two years of school.
- Must be able to work in the Sioux Falls office during normal business hours for at least 20 hours per week during the months of May through August. Additional opportunities may arise.
- Familiarity with the agriculture or material handling industry is preferred, but not required.
- Must be an organized and motivated self-starter with marketing experience in and out of the classroom.
- Adherence to deadlines, attention to detail, and effective internal communication are key factors to achieving success in this role.
- Candidates with strong samples of work in electronic media and marketing preferred.
- Examples of marketing portfolio considered in application.
