Custom Applicator

Crown Recruiting is currently seeking an experienced Custom Applicator to join the team of an excellence-focused ag company in the Spain, SD area. As a Custom Applicator, you will be responsible for applying plant nutrients and crop protection products to clients' fields while following strict guidelines and ensuring accuracy. You will also be responsible for maintaining and servicing application equipment. This company offers competitive pay.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

• Accurately blend, load, and apply fertilizer and chemicals according to manufacturer and client specifications
• Calibrate and maintain fertilizer and spraying equipment
• Maintain and repair sprayers, spreaders, vehicles, and other equipment
• Receive materials and perform inventory checks
• Ensure cleanliness of work area, vehicles, and applicators
• Provide backup support to other operations staff as needed

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year related experience
• Custom applicator's license and CDL
• Valid driver's license with a clean record
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Effective oral communication skills
• Basic understanding of mathematics for weight, volume, and distance measurements
• Ability to operate and maintain equipment safely
• Problem-solving skills for equipment troubleshooting and maintenance
• Ability to follow directions and use computer-assisted operations
