About the role:

We are currently seeking a Value Stream Buyer, Planner with experience in MRP systems (Dynamics 365 desired) and working knowledge of BOM’s & Routing creation and maintenance.  The candidate will work within the Supply Chain department with focus on material’s management, Purchasing, Assembly Planning and Process Control.  The ideal candidate will work directly with the Plant Manager on expediting inbound materials as required for the successful delivery of products to our customers while being a team player and supporting the organization in finding new cost-efficient suppliers to improve the supply chain.

 

Workplace: Gunnebo Entrance Control, Greenville SC. 

 

Duration: This is permanent full-time position

 

Reporting to: Plant Manager

 

What you will do:

  • Proficiency in MRP/ERP systems and advanced planning software with experience and knowledge of Dynamics 365 a high plus.
  • Check and monitor component availability for assembly production.
  • Issue Purchase orders to suppliers as required while keeping inventory level loaded.
  • Work with Suppliers to agree delivery dates as necessary (Both domestic and International) with an emphasis to Expedite orders as required.
  • Manage the inventory in the MRP system, including working with the Shipping department as necessary.
  • Support the plant manager in the scouting process of new suppliers to build up the domestic supply chain as required.
  • Work with Logistics and the customer requirements to schedule inbound and outbound freight.

Who we are looking for:

The ideal candidate has a 3+ years of experience in the role in similar fields. Will be a dynamic person, with a self-starter and can-do attitude.

Key requirements include:

  • Previous experience in a Buyer/Planner role, with knowledge of Bill of Material processing a plus.
  • Experience with MRP systems especially with Purchasing modules.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Advanced computer skills and experience.
  • Strong Verbal and Written communication as required for Expediting and order purchasing.
  • Preferable requirements include:
  • Experience with Dynamics 365 ERP software is a plus.
  • Technical drawing interpretation is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain Terminology.
  • Knowledge / Education:
  • Previous experience with Dynamics 365 ERP software is a plus.
  • Technical drawing interpretation is a plus.
  • Minimum High school Diploma or GED.
