Full Job Description
Aspire Medical Staffing is currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Urologist to join our team at the VA Healthcare System in Columbia, SC. As a Urologist with Aspire Medical Staffing, you will have the opportunity to provide comprehensive urological care to veterans with a wide range of conditions.
You will work in collaboration with a team of experienced healthcare professionals to diagnose and treat urological disorders, perform surgeries, and provide follow-up care to patients. You will have access to state-of-the-art facilities and advanced technologies to deliver the highest quality care.
We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Urologist with expertise in diagnosing and treating various urological conditions. You should be proficient in performing urological surgeries, interpreting diagnostic tests, and providing patient-centered care.

LOCATION:
VAMC Columbia, VA Healthcare System

SCHEDULE:
- Monday-Friday: 8am-4:30pm
- On-call and call-back coverage (annual total of 1,000 hours): on a rotational basis. Must be available within 15 minutes by phone and within a 30 minute radius from the VA
- Call hours are routinely 4:30pm-7am
- Schedule OR Days: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday 7am-4pm (must arrive at minimum 20 minutes prior to starting each shift).
There will be a minimum of 2 physicians onsite daily
Requirements
- Medical degree from an accredited medical school
- Completion of a residency/fellowship program in Urology
- Board certification in Urology by the American Board of Urology
- Active and unrestricted medical license to practice anywhere in the USA
- BLS certification
- Experience in diagnosing and treating various urological conditions
- Proficiency in performing urological surgeries, including minimally invasive procedures
- Familiarity with the latest advances and research in urology
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach
Duties:
- Diagnose and treat patients with urological conditions, including performing surgeries and procedures
- Conduct physical examinations, interpret diagnostic tests, and develop treatment plans
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advances in urology, attending conferences and continuing education events
- Educate and provide counseling to patients regarding their urological conditions and treatment options
- Participate in research and clinical trials to contribute to the field of urology
