Magnolia Plantation & Gardens, one of the nation’s oldest and most frequented historical public attractions, proudly welcomes thousands of visitors from all around the world each year. Our Professional Lot Attendant ensures the highest commitment to safety, gladly welcomes our guests and ushers them into a designated parking space. This position ensures the first positive impression of our visitors, especially on our busy days and during special events.
What you will be doing:
- Evaluate parking space availability and close or open parking lots based on capacity and properly communicate any changes with guests and colleagues
- Communicate policies, rules and regulations of the parking locations and willingly offer directions through the parking lot and site
- Create a positive, one of a kind guest experience during the first and last step of our guest’s visit by offering a genuine welcome upon arrival and farewell with welcoming future visits to departing guests
- Continuously be visible and available to our guests by standing or walking to direct Guests on specific parking locations
- Represents a team-player spirit when assigned other duties as required
Requirements
Who you are:
- You thrive in an outdoor environment and are comfortable working in various weather conditions
- You're an excellent communicator that thrives in a customer centric role and can take the lead during hectic situations or exigencies
- You understand that exceptional guest experiences aren't just about the activities we have available, but how each interaction makes them feel. Knowing this, you make it a point to ensure that each guest has an immersive, positive experience from the moment they enter the gates
- You have excellent attention to detail, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills while working with guests, staff and volunteers
- Due to the nature of the business, this position may require work on the weekends as needed. We’re mindful that in order for you to be the most effective in your role, it’s important that you balance that work with time to rest, so we offer PTO and other benefits to support you
