Full Job Description

I.                 SUMMARY:
To help production manager to set & monitor the daily production plan and review EDI releases.

 

II.               ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.      Production Scheduling: Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer demand while optimizing resource utilization.

2.      Inventory Management: Monitor and control inventory levels to minimize shortages and excesses, ensuring that production is aligned with demand.

3.      Coordination with Departments: Collaborate with various departments such as procurement, manufacturing, and logistics to ensure smooth production processes.

4.      Capacity Planning: Assess production capacity and identify opportunities for improvement or expansion to meet changing demands.

5.      Forecasting: Analyze historical data and market trends to create accurate production forecasts, helping the organization prepare for future demand.

6.      Order Fulfillment: Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment by coordinating production schedules with customer requirements.

7.      Resource Allocation: Allocate resources effectively, including materials, manpower, and equipment, to optimize production efficiency.

8.      Risk Management: Identify and address potential production issues that can be caused by such as supply chain disruptions or equipment failures, to minimize risks.

9.      Communication: Communicate production plans and updates to relevant stakeholders, including management, production teams, and suppliers.

10.   Continuous Improvement: Implement and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes, reduce costs, and improve overall efficiency.

11.   Quality Assurance: Work closely with quality control teams to ensure that production processes meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.

12.   Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date production records, including schedules, inventory levels, and performance metrics.

13.   Problem-Solving: Address any production-related issues promptly, finding solutions to minimize disruptions and delays.

14.   Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards in all production activities.

15.   Technology Utilization: Leverage technology, such as ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems, to streamline and automate production planning processes.

 

Requirements

I.                 QUALIFICATIONS:

·        Highly Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Especially Excel, and PowerPoint), especially in excel, using this as support tool for logical analysis

·        Ability to perform transactions in SAP, especially MM and PP Modul

·        Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.

 

II.               EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Employee must have working knowledge of manufacturing & assembly processes. The individual will be responsible for leading production team, overseeing the continuous improvement of the manufacturing process and executing long term strategic plans. Must be self-motivated and possess well developed leadership skills.

Minimum Requirement:

                                                                                                                                 

·        Bachelor’s Degree in Administration, preferably Engineering, and 3 - 5 years of progressive manufacturing or scheduling experience

·        Experience with SAP

 

 

III.            LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret basic instructions and required documents.  Has the ability to respond and communicate complicated instructions and basic directions.

·        Ability to write work instructions and other procedures as needed.

·        Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

 

IV.             MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to comprehend and apply principles of basic mathematics.

Logical sense is required

 

 

V.               REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

·        Ability to solve problems as they arise.

 

VI.             PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and taste or smell.  The employee is required to stand, walk, lift, and sit.  The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

·        Normal amount of sitting and standing, average mobility to move around an office and plant environment, able to conduct normal amount of work on a computer. 

·        Ability to lift 30 lbs.

·        Traveling from plant to plant (ISRI, Supplier, Customer), including international travel may be required.

 

VII.           WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Normal amount of sitting and standing, above average mobility to move around an office and plant environment, able to conduct normal amount of work on a computer. 

·        Works with the Production Supervisor, Production Manager, Line Leads, line personnel and Warehouse Manager and logistics department.

·        Flexible with alternating shifts and Saturday work as required by customer or ISRI requirements.
