Responsibilities
- Read blueprints and specifications to determine job requirements.
- Weld, cut, and fabricate metal pipes, tubes and fittings in accordance with project specifications.
- Ensure all welding equipment and tools are properly maintained and in good working condition.
- Operate hoists, lift trucks, and hand tools as required.
- Observe safety precautions at all times, both in the shop and on job sites.
- Work in confined spaces and at heights above ground level.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Requirements
- Must be able to pass two weld test (x-ray) Carbon Steel Pipe test, one with stainless steel 309 TIG test
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in pipe welding.
- Strong mechanical skills including the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment and machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Experience with a variety of welding techniques including SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, and FCAW.
- Proficiency in the use of hand and power tools, hoists, and lift trucks.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
