Cedar Spring Rentals, a heavy equipment rental business that supplies contractors with grading equipment, is searching for an experienced mobile heavy equipment mechanic to grow with our team. This position is based in Piedmont, SC and services Greenville/Spartanburg and the surrounding areas.
Responsibilities:
- Perform repairs and maintenance on construction equipment such as excavators, dozers, and articulated trucks as well as commercial vehicles
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic, electrical, engine, transmission, and HVAC components and systems
- Inspect equipment for needed repairs including leaks, wear parts, safety issues, or other necessary repairs
- Carry out tasks safely, efficiently, and with attention to detail
- Communicate with service manager and/or client the status of repairs
- Test equipment to diagnose malfunctions or to ensure proper functionality after repairs are made
- Operate a commercial motor vehicle (non CDL) equipped with a crane and air compressor to perform field repairs & maintenance

Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic
- Capable of diagnosing and repairing various brands of construction equipment
- Read and interpret schematics/wiring diagrams/troubleshooting steps
- Provide and use personally owned tools
- Valid driver’s license, good driving record
- Possess and demonstrate integrity at all times
- Be reliable, have a positive attitude
