Job Summary:
Perform mechanical repairs on equipment, machinery, and structures throughout the plant.
Reports To:
Maintenance Manager
Equipment Used:
Various mechanical and electrical tools, welding equipment, mobile cranes, forklifts, trucks, etc.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Must lift up to 50 pounds, climb steps and ladders, traverse catwalks, and work in confined spaces without fear.
- Adequate vision and hearing are necessary.
- Ability to read and comprehend workplace documents, write grammatically correct messages, and apply mathematical reasoning.
- Must understand technical information, solve problems quickly, and complete company training programs.
Job Duties:
Perform preventive maintenance, repair buildings and machinery, operate mobile equipment, welding and fabrication, maintain cleanliness and safety, comply with hazardous waste regulations, and complete daily reports and records.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma preferred, two-year technical degree desired, MSHA and RCRA training required, NCCER Certification.
Environmental Factors:
Work indoors/outdoors in various weather conditions, rotational shifts and overtime may be required, industrial environment with potential hazards, and must wear safety equipment as per company policy.
