GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
The Front Desk Receptionist is the organization’s first point of contact.
To be successful in this role, you must have a pleasant personality and excellent customer service skills. You should have strong computer skills and are comfortable learning new computer systems and processes. You should be able to deal with multiple requests and very busy desk in a timely and effective manner, while streamlining office operations. Multitasking with a high degree of accuracy and stress management skills are essential for this position.
Ultimately, the Front Desk Receptionist’s duties and responsibilities are to ensure the front desk welcomes guests positively, and executes all administrative tasks to the highest quality standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet everyone in a friendly, welcoming manner.
- Direct visitors to the appropriate person and location.
- Processes a high volume of payment transactions and refunds for activities and services.
- Answers, screens, and directs high volume of calls.
- Accurately and efficiently manages all data entry, including but not limited to program registrations, membership enrollments, and donations.
- Assists with the opening and/or closing procedures of the center.
- Accurately communicates verbally and in writing basic information in-person, by phone, and via email.
- Completes membership renewals and other direct mailings to members.
- Handles multiple forms of payments and tender types and accurately reconciles daily deposits.
- Contributes to new policies and protocols for the organization’s operational handbook.
- Ensures reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationary and material (e.g. pens, forms and brochures).
- Happily, performs other assignments and duties.
Requirements
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proven knowledge and execution of EXCEL required.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Successful experience operating WITH high volume calls and multiple duties concurrently
- Proven data entry and database management
- Accurate money-handling ability

Benefits
$15/hour
Afternoon Shift Available: 20-25 hours/week, M-F 12:00 - 5:00pm
