Full Job Description
Coordinate with a cross-functional team to support the procurement of equipment, materials, services, and supplies used for air traffic control (ATC), command and control (C2), and airfield operations equipment that is fielded, under development, or in need of repair. Process customer requirements and conduct market research efforts to obtain vendor quotes for use in procurement actions. Provide purchasing specialists with information needed to complete a purchase order. Monitor, coordinate, and document the transfer of materials from order placement to receipt and final customer acceptance. Review, prioritize, and communicate procurement statuses to the customer and cross-functional team members. Communicate issues, risks, and recommendations to the project team leader for any problematic procurement efforts. May be assisted by entry or intermediate level personnel. Close coordination is required with local team members and external stakeholders that contribute primarily through MS Teams and other telework technologies. Required to work onsite in North Charleston, SC.
Key Roles:
- Continually monitor and update a proprietary help desk / trouble ticket system to analyze technical requirements in support of CONUS and OCONUS ATC, C2, and airfield operations equipment.
- Perform research to determine vendors, part availability, lead times, and costs for items requested for procurement.
- Develop an itemized purchase list for each procurement effort.
- Coordinate with local and remote buyers to determine the correct procurement method for each effort.
- Develop a bill of materials (BOM) and reference quotes for procurements that require competitive solicitation.
- Develop draft source justification documents for procurements that cannot meet competitive solicitation requirements.
- Continually monitor procurement statuses to verify and update estimated shipping (ESD) and delivery (EDD) dates.
- Process receiving documents and coordinate transfer to the customer using DD-1149 forms.
Requirements
- Two (2) years of experience with technical sustainment and repair of electronic equipment associated with air traffic control (ATC), command and control (C2), and airfield operations equipment.
- Two (2) years of experience logistics support for projects involving electronic/ electrical repair and installation, ordering, acquisition, distribution of material, equipment and resources.
- Knowledge of Windows software including word processing, spreadsheets, Outlook, and MS Teams.
- Ability to learn a proprietary help desk / trouble ticket system.
- Ability to communicate clearly in written and verbal methods.
- Ability to obtain a security clearance.
- HS diploma or GED.
Additional Qualifications:
- Knowledge of logistics support functions for ATC, C2, and airfield operations.
- Experience with receipt, accountability, and inventory management of various classifications of property, equipment, and spare parts.
- Familiarity with developing parts lists and bills of materials.

Salary at RMC is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, a candidate's specific combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific requirements. The current salary range for this position will be $60,000.00 to $66,560.00 (annually).
