Full Job Description

Are you ready to launch your career in emergency veterinary medicine? Fetch Specialty & Emergency Veterinary Centers proudly offers the Fetch UnivERsity Training Program—a comprehensive two-year mentorship opportunity designed for veterinarians and new graduates passionate about making a difference in emergency medicine. This program bridges the gap between education and practice, equipping you with the skills and confidence to excel in emergency medicine while exploring specialty interests. Join a community of veterinary professionals dedicated to providing exceptional care to patients and their families.

Why Choose Fetch?

Fetch is one of the few family-owned specialty and emergency practices offering an exceptional training program in a supportive, mentorship-driven environment. As a participant, you’ll gain:

·      Eight Months of Direct Supervision

Work side-by-side with experienced emergency clinicians and specialists, receiving hands-on training and real-time mentorship. This designated eight-month mark may be altered to best meet your needs and these discussions will involve you, your mentors, and the medical director.

·      Transition to Autonomy

Begin managing cases independently, while working alongside experienced ER doctors and specialists.

·      Indirect Supervision

Build autonomy while working alongside experienced clinicians, continuing to receive tailored mentorship and support as needed.

·      Specialty Service Rotations

Participate in two-week rotations in key specialties, including internal medicine, surgery, emergency and critical care, and oncology.

·      Balanced Schedule

During your two-year program, follow an associate ER clinician schedule, working 12 shifts every 28 days. You’ll always have support while gradually taking on more decision-making responsibilities.

·      Didactic Training

Attend weekly rounds during the first year, featuring a mix of general ER topics and specific case reviews. Continue to enhance your skills with monthly topic rounds and wet labs.

·      Flexible Learning Opportunities

Explore different specialties and tailor your experience to your specific interests.

·      Compensation Growth

Transition to 22% production-based compensation in year two, offering financial growth as you advance.
