The Role:
We are looking for an Associate Manager, University Relations, to join our rapidly growing team of college and youth marketing enthusiasts. In this entry level position, you will be responsible for assisting in the development and nurturement of relationships with key campus contacts across the US & Canada. As a member of our University Relations team, you will be responsible for helping to facilitate meaningful interactions between brands and students on college campuses across the US.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain relationships with key campus contacts, learning the ins-and-outs of each assigned school while proactively identifying how Wasserman Next Gen can enhance the student experience
- Serve as a liaison between campus contacts, program lead, and/or clients to develop and execute on-campus marketing activations that benefit both parties
- Collaborate with the Wasserman Next Gen Client Services team (Boston-based) to understand the needs of each client program and assist in executing the campus-specific activations
- Assist in the planning and coordination of on-campus activation logistics including locations, contracts, permits, etc.
- Track all campus learnings and activities in Salesforce by creating, updating, and maintaining accurate documentation of internal university records
- Support daily workflow of client projects to ensure timely program execution
- Ensure all invoices are processed correctly – specifically university payments
- Research higher education institutions including campus trends, policies, procedures, event opportunities, campus contacts, etc.
- Participate in agency brainstorms to help develop new, creative ways to engage Next Gen consumers
- Contribute to agency culture by actively participating in building positive internal relationships and maintaining enthusiasm toward day-to-day tasks and agency passion points
- Perform other duties, as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 0-2 years of experience
- Interest and experience in event planning and the higher education landscape
- Customer-service focus with outstanding interpersonal, written, and oral communications skills
- Values and respects the importance of organization and time management for effective multitasking
- Creative thinker that is willing to travel ‘outside of the box’ for the right solution(s)
- Ability to deliver excellence, both independently and collaboratively, when needed
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of Salesforce and Asana is a plus
