ISRI is a leading company in the automotive industry, known for its commitment to excellence and innovation. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Material Handler I, to join our team on 2nd shift. As a Material Handler I, you will play a crucial role in efficiently and accurately moving materials throughout our facility. Your attention to detail and ability to follow instructions will be essential in ensuring the timely delivery of materials to production areas and maintaining an organized inventory system.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Organize and maintain raw materials, finished goods, tools, and equipment inventory.
  • Perform cycle counts and regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
  • Prepare materials for production by retrieving and staging items as requested.
  • Load and unload materials from trucks, using forklifts or other equipment as necessary.
  • Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently, following all safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Pack, label, and palletize finished goods for shipment, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with other departments to fulfill material requests and maintain efficient workflow.
  • Assist with inventory control and reconciliation, ensuring accurate record-keeping and adherence to company procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the warehouse, following 5S principles.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations, reporting safety concerns or incidents.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience as a material handler or similar role in a warehouse environment is preferred.
  • Valid forklift certification is preferred.
  • Proficient in operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Basic computer literacy for inventory tracking and record-keeping purposes.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of safety guidelines and procedures for material handling.
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
