Full Job Description
We are seeking a motivated Manufacturing Process Technician to support commercial, clinical, and launch production activities. The ideal candidates will work in a highly regulated, safety-first, team-based environment, ensuring adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Responsibilities:
- Perform hands-on operations including equipment set-up, cleaning, and sanitization
- Weigh out buffers/media according to defined manufacturing procedures and SOPs
- Follow GMP documents (SOPs, MPs) with strict adherence to safety and compliance guidelines
- Monitor and troubleshoot critical processes to ensure smooth operations
- Perform in-process sampling and operate analytical equipment for testing
- Handle parts washing and sterilization activities
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Work in a clean room environment (wearing full gowning, steel-toe shoes, gloves, and hairnet)
- Initiate and participate in quality deviation reports as needed
- Draft and revise standard operating documents (SOPs, MPs)
- Suggest and implement improvements to enhance routine functions
- Assist with reviewing documentation for equipment logs and batch records
- Work with high-pressure systems and occasionally move heavy equipment with industrial vehicles
- Follow direction and safety protocols while taking the initiative as necessary
- Champion Lean Transformation and Operational Excellence (OE) initiatives
- Foster positive relationships within the team and with key stakeholders
- Promote Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DI&B) initiatives to increase team connectivity and engagement
- Support team morale by creating a positive work environment
- Lift up to 35 lbs, move objects requiring up to 50 lbs of force, and perform physical tasks (bending, reaching, climbing, etc.)
- Stand for extended periods and work in physically demanding conditions
Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and written communication.
- Experience working in team-based environments with an understanding of safety culture.
- Previous exposure to laboratory or chemical processing environments preferred.
- Experience in a technical field.
- Familiarity with advanced computer systems.
- Demonstrated ability to follow procedures accurately.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree OR High School diploma with 3 years of work experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong written communication skills
- Experience working in a team-oriented, safety-conscious environment
- Lab exposure in safety-focused settings (chemical processing, batch chemicals, etc.)
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a biotech or similar manufacturing environment
Preferred:
- Previous experience in biotech or chemical manufacturing settings
- Understanding of safety culture and compliance regulations (GMP)
- Ability to take direction and work effectively in a team
Shift:
- Day Shift: 6:45 AM - 6:45 PM
- Night Shift: 6:45 PM - 6:45 AM (15% shift differential)
- C and D Rotation – Swing Shift: Week 1: 5 working days, Week 2: 2 working days
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays
