About the Role:

We are looking for a supervisor to join our vibratory assembly team. The HIVI and Coil Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the HIVI and COIL Assembly production team. This position ensures the productivity of the HIVI and Coil Assembly team, by providing the necessary support and supervision to maintain consistent and efficient workflow. This role is vital to the successful pursuit of on-time shipments, the profitability of the company, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in production or processing of goods. Plans and establishes work schedules, assignments, and production sequences, to meet production goals
  • Calculates labor and equipment requirements and production specifications, using standard formulas.  Determines standards, production and rates based on company policy, equipment and labor availability, and workload.  Reviews operations and/or reports to determine the feasibility of production estimates and evaluate current production  
  • Confers with management or subordinates to resolve worker problems, complaints, or grievances. Confers with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within departments and/or between departments 
  • Reads and analyzes charts, work orders, or production schedules to determine production requirements.  Maintains operations data, such as time, production and prepares management reports
  • Recommends or implements measures to motivate employees and improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency.  Interprets specifications, blueprints, job orders, and company policies and procedures for workers 
  • Plan/assign duties as needed to assemble all units to completion. Inspects materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.  Train new employees to perform at a high level within the department. Assist with all work centers across the department as needed to facilitate positive workflow
  • Familiar with various electrical testing equipment and procedures to check and test Eriez Vibratory equipment. Read and understand complex assembly drawings and basic electrical schematics. Working knowledge of Voltage and Current and how it applies to the immediate product lines
  • Experience with permanent magnets. Working knowledge of magnetic principles and able to apply them first hands
  • Ensure that all areas have Stand Work Documents and all Continuous Improvements are achieved and followed. Possess a focus on Eriez Continuous Improvement Initiatives and able to roll out all future initiatives as directed by management. Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Complete tasks timely and efficiently in accordance with expectations as directed by management. Perform other similar and related duties as assigned by management

 

Requirements

  • Two-year degree in Business Administration, Management, or equivalent experience assembling, wiring, and testing industrial machinery
  • At least 5-7 years manufacturing experience
  • Able to read and follow engineering drawings, assembly procedures, instruction manuals and material/pick lists to complete assemblies and use basic shop math including decimals and fractions
  • Able to use specialized tools/fixtures, both electrical and mechanical to complete assembly
  • Familiar with various electrical testing equipment and procedures to check and test Coils and Vibratory Equipment
  • Prior Leadman and/or similar supervisory experience
  • Working knowledge of both AC and DC high voltage and high current

Starting Pay (Hourly): $29/hr.
