Are you an experienced accounting professional who would love a part-time, work from home accounting role that would allow you to achieve the optimal work/life balance? We are looking for a PT Staff Accountant who will work between 20-25 hours per week during daylight business hours. This person will be a member of the growing finance team who reports directly to the Controller and is responsible for administrative accounting duties.

What You'll Do:
- Perform accounting data entry, reports, and record keeping as assigned.
- Review, code, obtain proper approval, and enter Accounts Payable invoices into accounting software.
- Review, code, and verify receipts for all credit card transactions and import into accounting software.
- Handle all bank account and credit card statement reconciliations.
- Reconcile Accounts Receivable receipts automatically recorded in accounting software.
- Handle collections in coordination with account management including contacting clients regarding past due payments.
- Assist with customer invoicing including reviewing agreements and pricing and generating and sending invoices.
- Maintain customer contact and billing information in billing software.
- Assist with journal entries, prepaid expenses, accruals, vendor rebates, and account reconciliations.
- Maintain W9 forms for vendors and contractors.
- Maintain sales tax exemption certificates.
- Monitor shared accounting email, responding to accounting-related inquiries from clients and vendors or forwarding emails to appropriate team members.
- Perform COGS tracking and reconciliation.
- Contribute to the development of Standard Operating Procedures.
Requirements
Preferred Candidates Will Have:
- A four-year bachelor’s degree in the field of Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience and/or training is required.
- 2+ years of experience in Accounting in a small or mid-size business environment is preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel and Outlook) is required.
- Experience with business accounting software is required. Experience with Business Central software is preferred.
- Experience with ConnectWise software is preferred and helpful.
- Strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and time management skills.
- Demonstrates good oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, but also as a strong supportive team member.
- Ability to handle frequent pressures, including demanding client contact, meeting time deadlines, and multitasking.
