About the Role:

We are looking for a Shipping Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for properly packaging large and small products to insure timely shipment.

Responsibilities:

• Load and unload trucks as required
• Maintain all shipping records as instructed
• Prepare all necessary shipping papers, tags, packing list and labels as required
• Track lost and delayed shipments as required
• Operate overhead cranes, clamping devices, presses and porta power
• May need to operate power equipment such as forklifts and scissor lifts
• Notifies supervisor when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered
• Maintains, organizes, and cleans equipment and the work area
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Able to write legibly and read and understand written instructions
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and use basic shop math including decimals and fractions
• Able to use simple charts, tables and formulas as required
• Demonstrated related experience in carpentry to design and build shipping skids, boxes and crates that will result in delivery without damage
• Able to use hand tools and power tools safely to package shipments. (Power stapler, nailer, table saw, radial saw, etc.)
• Able to build and design tables, fixtures and other permanent structures
• Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license
• Basic computer keyboarding, data entry/retrieval skills required

Hourly Pay: starting at $19.19/ hr.
