A Regional Manager is a critical operations leader within our company and helps us achieve our mission through the effective management of program staff and program delivery, maintain a strong focus on operations excellence and act as an internal salesman to drive the growth of enrollment across locations within assigned portfolios.
As an Regional Manager, you will:
- Effectively lead and manage a team of Area Managers.
- Recruit, develop, motivate and engage a highly talented team of program staff, as well as maintain a pipeline of viable candidates for assigned markets.
- Cultivate positive relationships with clients, parents, school administrators and external community partners.
- Oversee the implementation of Right At School’s before and after-school programs and ensure that quality standards are achieved and opportunities to optimize program operations are implemented.
- Build partnerships with school leaders, and relationships with families in order to make sure you and your staff are providing the best service possible.
- Ensure a high level of communication between staff, students and parents occurs to build out Right At School’s mission and values permeate all field-based operations.
- Own direct P&L responsibilities for all Right At School programs within the assigned portfolio. Drive business decisions to achieve program growth & designated revenue objectives.
- Seeks out opportunities to promote programs and build enrollment at relevant school and community events.
- Guarantee Right At School sites/programs maintain state specific licensing requirements.
- Partner with regional directors to identify training and development opportunities to support Area Managers across the org.
- Travel up to 50% to support schools when needed
Requirements
What we are looking for:
- A minimum of five years of professional work experience in a childcare, retail, or related industry.
- 2+ years of experience managing multi-site locations in the field, retail or other related areas
- 2+ years of direct P&L, demonstrated track record of achieving business related KPIs
- Passion for operational excellence. Expert level organization and project management skills
- Ability to self solve when possible, but also have the sensibility to escalate problems when needed to ensure all programs meet and exceed desired outcomes
- Ability to work with technology at a high level; with systems related to financial planning, hiring and managing staff, and customer experience
- Someone who is gifted at leveraging staff’s talents and strengths to by assigning appropriate responsibilities to individuals across programs that achieve business objectives
- A proven ability to successfully manage geographically dispersed workforce. Has effectively managed and established high performing teams in the past.
- Seasoned leadership, conflict resolution and diplomacy skills required. Ability to breed teamwork and shared accountability is a must.
- Experience in writing/building part-time staff schedules
- Demonstrated ability to speak and write clearly, succinctly and persuasively such that expectations are clear, timelines are delineated, and excellence is defined.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities from a variety of sources, organizing and prioritizing effectively to impact areas of greatest need.
- Outstanding customer service skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and manage multiple situations effectively
- High School Diploma/GED (Bachelor's Degree preferred)
