Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Head Purchasing Manager to join our team. The Head Purchasing Manager will be responsible for overseeing the procurement of goods, supplies, and materials required for our projects. This role requires strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers. The Purchasing Manager will work closely with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement, while also maintaining high quality standards.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies based on project requirements and cost targets specific to mechanical construction projects.
  • Source and evaluate potential suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery capabilities, with a focus on mechanical construction materials and equipment.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions for mechanical construction projects.
  • Coordinate with project managers and other stakeholders to identify and forecast procurement needs for mechanical construction projects.
  • Manage the procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of mechanical construction materials and supplies.
  • Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns that arise, particularly those related to mechanical construction.
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including purchase orders, invoices, and contracts, with a focus on mechanical construction materials.
  • Stay informed about market trends, new products, and industry developments that may impact procurement decisions in the mechanical construction industry.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, fostering collaboration and partnership in the mechanical construction sector.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards in all purchasing activities related to mechanical construction.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in the mechanical construction industry.
  • Proven track record of successful negotiations and cost savings in the mechanical construction sector.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, best practices, and industry trends in mechanical construction.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and inventory management systems.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements in the mechanical construction industry.
