Preschool Sport Coach (P/T)

Job Summary: As a Preschool Sports Coach at Amazing Athletes, you will be responsible for delivering dynamic and engaging sports programs to preschool-aged children. You will use our structured curriculum to teach fundamental motor skills, coordination, and teamwork while fostering a positive and supportive environment. This role requires enthusiasm, energy, and a passion for working with young children. Please note: This is not a season role, we are looking for someone who can take on this role permanently year-round including summer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Program Delivery: Conduct sports classes using Amazing Athletes’ curriculum, ensuring each session is engaging, fun, and educational.
• Child Development: Focus on the physical, emotional, and social development of children, promoting confidence, teamwork, and a love for sports.
• Safety and Supervision: Maintain a safe and inclusive environment for all participants, adhering to safety guidelines and managing any issues that arise.
• Staff/Parent Communication: Communicate with school staff and parents about their child’s progress, providing updates and addressing any concerns or questions.
• Equipment Management: Ensure all sports equipment is set up, used properly, and maintained in good condition.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other coaches and staff to continuously improve the program and share best practices.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous experience working with young children in a coaching, teaching, or childcare capacity is preferred.
• Skills: Strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to engage and motivate young children.
• Certifications: CPR and First Aid certification is required (can be obtained after hiring if necessary).
• Education: A background in early childhood education, physical education, or a related field is a plus.
• Availability: Must be available to work flexible hours, including mornings and weekends.

Schedule:

• Coaches must be available Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 12:00pm YEAR-ROUND
• Coaches will teach anywhere from 3-6 classes every morning depending on school size
• Coaches will spend about 8-10 hours per week coaching (please note - 10 hours is about the max any coach will have in a week due to time constraints on when we can teach these classes)
• Coaches start at $20.00 per hour plus $0.20 per mile gas reimbursement for traveling to schools.
