Full Job Description
Access Services is hiring a part-time Cash Receipts Coordinator to join the fiscal team! A great coordinator will be detail-oriented, responsible, willing to figure out discrepancies, and have an energetic presence with our programs!
They will support the coordination of collections across several different types of programs at Access Services by:
- Supporting the Fiscal Department and programs with reporting capabilities by having a working knowledge and understanding of reimbursement, Electronic Remittance Advices (ERAs) and compliance.
- Running and analyzing multiple reports for daily/weekly functions.
- Investigating payment denials by applying strong problem-solving skills.

Essential Functions of the Coordinator:
- Enter all cash receipts into applicable systems.
- Track deposits to ensure accurate recording, reconciliation and monitoring.
- Code the deposits to the correct G/L accounts.
- Maintain highly organized, detail-oriented and accurate record keeping.
- Stay informed about changes in reimbursement requirements and company procedures to ensure compliance.
- Communicate effectively with other team members to ensure accurate and timely cash receipt processing.
Requirements
Candidates must meet all qualifying and ongoing job criteria including background checks, physical examination results, and clearances.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalency required
Experience:
- One (1) year of billing/accounting experience required; three (3) to five (5) years preferred, including use of electronic health records.
- Excel proficiency required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Effective communication skills
- Highly organized, detail oriented and accurate record keeping skills
- Sound understanding of electronic health record system is preferred
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and accurately
- Strong problem-solving skills when investigating payment denials
- Proficiency in, or ability to learn and use, workplace applications, platforms and technologies
- Ability to navigate network drives and basic hardware use and troubleshooting
Benefits
Schedule, Compensation, and Benefits:
- The compensation for the coordinator role is $19-$19.50/hour
- This is a part-time role of 20 hours/week
- The schedule is flexible, with the hours being worked in the span of Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
- This role is a hybrid position, a mixture of remote and in-office work from our Fort Washington office

Essential Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
- Work in a standard office environment. Utilize desktop computer equipment daily. Able to lift or move items associated with sedentary work and light work (exert up to 20 lbs.)
- Travel to offsite locations and regional office locations as necessary.
