Full Job Description

Align ENT & Allergy is looking for a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, playing a critical role in enhancing their experience in our practice. You will manage front desk operations, help create a welcoming atmosphere, and ensure seamless patient flow.

As a Medical Receptionist with Align ENT & Allergy, you will work within a dedicated team that provides comprehensive ENT and Allergy care. Our commitment to excellence and personalized patient care is at the core of everything we do.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring an inviting environment.
  • Handle check-in and check-out processes, ensuring that patient information is accurately recorded and updated.
  • Schedule patient appointments effectively, managing the flow of the day’s schedule to maximize efficiency.
  • Answer incoming calls, addressing inquiries and providing assistance to patients and their families.
  • Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations ahead of appointments.
  • Assist patients with the completion of necessary paperwork and ensure compliance with privacy regulations.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of the reception area and waiting room.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate patient care and facilitate smooth communication.
  • Perform other clerical duties as needed, including data entry, filing, and faxing.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a receptionist, preferably in a medical setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and ideally familiar with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Empathetic and patient-centered approach to customer service.
  • Reliability and punctuality are crucial.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
