Align ENT & Allergy is currently seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Receptionist to join our team in the Vernose & McGrath division. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to patients and ensuring the smooth operations of our practice. Responsibilities

  • Welcome and check-in patients, ensuring accurate entry of patient information into the electronic medical records system.
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments, coordinating with physicians and other staff members to optimize efficiency.
  • Answer phone calls, address patient inquiries, and direct calls to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist patients with completion of necessary forms and obtain insurance information.
  • Collect patient payments, process transactions accurately, and maintain proper documentation.
  • Maintain and update patient records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
  • Coordinate patient flow to ensure a smooth experience and optimal use of resources.
  • Collaborate with insurance companies to obtain pre-authorizations for medical procedures, as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar customer service role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems and basic computer programs.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and compassionate demeanor.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing situations and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
