Align ENT & Allergy is currently seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Receptionist to join our team in the Vernose & McGrath division. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to patients and ensuring the smooth operations of our practice. Responsibilities
- Welcome and check-in patients, ensuring accurate entry of patient information into the electronic medical records system.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, coordinating with physicians and other staff members to optimize efficiency.
- Answer phone calls, address patient inquiries, and direct calls to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist patients with completion of necessary forms and obtain insurance information.
- Collect patient payments, process transactions accurately, and maintain proper documentation.
- Maintain and update patient records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
- Coordinate patient flow to ensure a smooth experience and optimal use of resources.
- Collaborate with insurance companies to obtain pre-authorizations for medical procedures, as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar customer service role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems and basic computer programs.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and compassionate demeanor.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing situations and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
