Position Details
- Roles Available: Part-time Lead Educator for Enrichment program that serves 2-5 year olds; Part-time Lead Educator program that serves our 2 year olds
- Hours: Enrichment Lead Teacher: 12-3:15 PM Monday through Friday; 2s Lead Teacher: Tuesdays and Thursdays 8:45 AM-1:00PM
- Responsibilities:
-Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
-Monitor students' progress and provide feedback to ensure they are meeting developmental milestones.
-Record observations and summarize children's development for written progress reports at the middle and end of year.
-Create engaging and educational activities that promote social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
-Collaborate with other preschool teachers, aides, and administrative staff to improve teaching strategies and classroom management techniques.
Requirements
- Minimum of a CDA (Child Development Associate) or equivalent certification in Early Childhood Education
- Experience working with children aged 2-5
- Strong knowledge of child development principles and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A nurturing and patient approach towards children
- Ability to work collaboratively with parents and other staff members
