Job Title: Inventory Specialist
Job Summary:
Gottstein Corporation is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Inventory Specialist to manage and maintain our inventory system. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing inventory levels, conducting audits, and optimizing inventory processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and stock movements using inventory management software.
- Monitor inventory levels and reorder stock as needed to avoid stockouts or overstock situations.
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts to reconcile discrepancies and ensure accuracy.
- Inventory Control:
- Implement inventory control measures to minimize shrinkage, loss, or damage.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in inventory records.
- Procurement Support:
- Assist in the procurement process by identifying and ordering required inventory items.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of inventory items.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Generate inventory reports and analyze inventory data to identify trends and make informed decisions.
- Maintain documentation related to inventory transactions, including receipts, invoices, and shipping documents.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to improve inventory processes and streamline operations.
- Implement best practices to optimize inventory management procedures.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience (2+ years) in inventory management or related field.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
