J.W. Pepper is seeking an Instrumental Editor, a full-time specialist in the school instrumental music market, to work in our corporate headquarters in Exton, PA. Candidates must demonstrate their ability to analyze music and build promotions to serve the diverse needs of school directors across all grade levels. Salary will be based on experience.

This position is in-house in our Exton, PA, Corporate headquarters. It is not remote.

Requirements

Requirements:

• Ability to identify trends in school music
• Experience working in a school setting as an instrumental teacher/conductor
• A general understanding of the print music industry
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and writing/copy-editing
• Music composition and editorial experience are a plus

Responsibilities Include:

• Provide sales and marketing content for online and instrumental print promotions.
• Review new publications for inclusion in promotions
• Establish and maintain effective communication with publishing industry partners
• Seek opportunities to meet the needs of band directors
