Align ENT & Allergy is currently seeking a dedicated and versatile Front Desk/Medical Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service at the front desk while also providing essential support to physicians and healthcare professionals as a medical assistant. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the smooth operations of our physician-led ENT and Allergy practice.

As a Front Desk/Medical Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for patients, welcoming them with a friendly and professional demeanor. You will handle administrative tasks, schedule appointments, manage patient records, and assist physicians in delivering patient care. This position requires strong organizational skills, multitasking abilities, and a focus on delivering exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring excellent customer service.
  • Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments, coordinating with physicians and other staff members to optimize clinic flow.
  • Collect and verify patient information, ensuring accuracy in electronic medical records.
  • Answer incoming calls, address patient inquiries, and route calls to the appropriate personnel.
  • Perform administrative duties such as data entry, filing, and managing patient records.
  • Prepare examination rooms, ensuring they are clean and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Assist physicians and healthcare professionals in preparing patients for examinations and procedures.
  • Take and record patient vital signs accurately.
  • Administer medications, injections, and immunizations as directed by healthcare providers.
  • Provide patient education on treatment plans, medications, and self-care instructions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a medical office setting, preferably in a front desk and/or medical assistant role.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records systems and basic computer skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, empathy, and a commitment to patient care.
  • Familiarity with insurance verification and billing processes (preferred).
