CDR Maguire Engineering is hiring for an experienced Facilities Technician to provide general maintenance and custodial services in our Warrendale, PA office.

At the highest level, must have an enthusiastic, entrepreneurial, and committed effort to performing their job in an ethical and proper manner. This role is an on-site position and will work directly with our office staff and report to the Office Manager.


Maintenance Responsibilities:

·       Performs preventative maintenance and routine repairs.

·       Order parts, materials, miscellaneous items with approval.

·       Works with outside vendors on estimates and quotes of significant work.

·       Supervise and coordinate outside contracted work, including lawncare, pest control, snow removal, etc., and other, when appropriate.

·       Make sure assigned/existing vendors perform scheduled maintenance on building and equipment and keep records.

·       Performs minor electrical work and repair including replacing lightbulbs, fixtures, wall switches and outlets.

·       Performs minor plumbing work and repair, including repair of minor leaks in drains or faucets.

·       Performs minor painting and carpentry.

·       Review window seals and repair window leaks.

·        Replace refrigerator filters, as necessary.

·       Replace HVAC filters, as necessary.

·       Manual weed removal from landscaping, as needed.

·       Ice/snow removal/material application, as needed.

·       Ensures all emergency equipment is properly maintained and tested; fire extinguishers, fire alarm system, backflow test, sprinkler inspection, etc.

Office Cleaning:

Perform daily office cleaning, trash, and refuse collection, according to prescribed specs and schedule.

Miscellaneous Duties:

·       Fill printers with paper.

·       Run errands and pick up items.

·       Send recycle report annually to Marshall Township

·       Help set up/clean up after office events.

·       Take incoming orders to appropriate area (supply room and kitchen) and put items in their place.

·       Furniture assembly/disassembly.

·       Help people carry items to/from vehicles.

·       Boxes in supply rooms / mark and dispose of over retention policy.



May perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned.



·       Minimum high school education or GED.

·       Minimum 3 years’ maintenance and custodial experience.

·       General knowledge/understanding of electrical, plumbing and HVAC.

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·       Knowledge of operating standard office equipment and computer.

·       Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and dedication to completing projects in a timely manner.

·       Must be able to lift 50 pounds, and ability to climb a ladder when needed.

·       Reliable transportation

·       On-call for emergencies.
