Your Responsibilities

As the Engineering Project Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of project leadership, taking charge of the following areas:

Technical Leadership:

  • Drive technical excellence and provide guidance across a wide array of cutting-edge development technologies.
  • Serve as a key contributor to major development and production systems, applying advanced technology principles to solve complex challenges.
  • Ensure seamless integration, testing, and verification of project requirements, delivering high-quality systems on time and within scope.
  • Lead and resolve technical issues, implement solutions, and oversee engineering plans, risk assessments, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain adherence to program-specific standards and practices, ensuring smooth execution of engineering efforts.

Team & Project Management:

  • Inspire and lead a high-performing, cross-functional engineering team, providing clear direction and motivation.
  • Collaborate closely with senior leadership, chief engineers, and program managers to plan and monitor all engineering work.
  • Regularly conduct status reviews and present findings to senior leadership, taking corrective actions when necessary to keep projects on track.
  • Manage project resources (e.g., staffing, capital equipment) and ensure the team has the necessary skills and tools to succeed.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement, driving innovation while ensuring project goals are met or exceeded.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field (Science, Engineering, or Mathematics), with 8+ years of relevant experience (Master's degree with 6+ years of experience also considered).
  • Proven background in systems engineering and project management with a focus on cost, scheduling, and technical leadership.
  • Experience leading complex programs in Guidance and Control Systems or related defense technologies.
  • U.S. Citizenship required due to the nature of the work; DoD Secret Clearance preferred or willingness to obtain.

  • Strong understanding of target detection, acquisition, and prosecution systems, acoustic sensors, and signal processing.
