About the Job

As an E-Commerce Merchandising Assistant at Printfresh, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the dynamic world of e-commerce, merchandising & production. You will work closely with our small team and will play a crucial role in supporting all functions of the business. The E-Commerce Merchandising Assistant is responsible for building and merchandising digital content, ensuring the content is presented with quality and accuracy, and verifying that the merchandised product aligns with the event theme.  They are also responsible for assisting the buyer to create an exciting and timely product assortment for the retail, direct and wholesale businesses that meet or exceed the sales volume and profit for the department.

Responsibilities Will Include

  • Assisting in Merchandise Support: Support daily operations within the buying area and work with the Merchandising & E-Commerce team to help update & keep all merchandise assortments organized and cohesive.  Update boards as needed, making sure spreadsheets (buyroll) are accurate and update information as needed.  Attend key meetings & create decks when necessary.  Assist the buying team to proof catalog copy. 
  • Sample management: Organize and catalogue samples. Help organize samples for wholesale trade shows, updating information and tagging products as needed. 
  • Content Management: Create, update and maintain product listings on our website, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and visual appeal.  Identify photo opportunities to switch lead and make suggestions on website to drive sales. Be comfortable visually merchandising the site to ensure best in class ecommerce experience.  
  • Data Analysis: Analyze sales and customer data to identify trends and opportunities. Provide insights and work on reporting as needed.  
  • Competitor Research: Research and monitor industry trends, competitor websites, and emerging e-commerce best practices to stay informed and provide insights for improvement.  
  • Inventory Management: Assist in production process including SKU creation, placing PO’s, and tracking and managing inventory levels and deliveries. Communicate with DC in order to have product received in a timely manner in collaboration with monthly content calendar and launches. 
  • Customer Experience Enhancement: Work on initiatives to enhance the online shopping experience, such as creating curated collections, Facebook and Instagram shop merchandising, improving product recommendations, and bundling.  Execute on site updates and setups as needed.  
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, design, and customer service, to ensure cohesive messaging and meet goals of the brand.  Prioritizing and reacting with a sense of urgency to the requests from both the merchant and cross functional teams.

Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion, Marketing, Design & Merchandising, or other related field
    • Experience and success with E-Commerce platforms- knowledge of Shopify is a plus!
    • Familiarity with Google Suite (GMail, Sheets, Docs, etc)
    • Extremely strong project management and organizational skills
    • Resourceful and curious about learning new technology and software
    • Ability to work independently in our fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment 
    • Strong written and oral communication abilities
    • Rudimentary understanding of retail math
    • 3-5+ years of experience in DTC E-Comm perferred
