We are seeking a Director of Business Intelligence based in Pittsburgh, PA to lead our Business Intelligence team. As the Director, you will be responsible for driving the strategic direction and execution of the company's business intelligence initiatives, enabling data-driven decision-making and supporting the organization's growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the company's business intelligence strategy, including data governance, analytics, reporting, and visualization.
  • Lead a team of business intelligence specialists, providing guidance, mentorship, and support in achieving departmental and corporate goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leaders to identify business needs and develop BI solutions that provide actionable insights and drive business performance.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security in all BI efforts, and oversee data governance processes.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in business intelligence and analytics, and leverage emerging technologies and tools to enhance the company's data capabilities.
  • Establish reporting standards and metrics, and develop dashboards and visualizations to communicate insights effectively to stakeholders across the organization.
  • Manage vendor relationships and evaluate third-party tools and solutions to support the company's BI objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role in business intelligence and analytics.
  • Expertise in data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with database platforms such as Oracle, SQL Server, or similar.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into analytical solutions.
  • Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms and technologies, such as AWS or Azure, is a plus.
  • Familiarity with agile methodology and project management practices.
  • Leadership abilities, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
