As our Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in our practice by:
- Maintaining patient medical records, updating patient medical history, and vital signs as needed.
- Conducting complete patient X-ray procedures, including taking, developing, and storing X-Rays as necessary.
- Completing periodontal charting as directed.
- Preparing tools and equipment necessary for the Provider and assisting the Provider with exams as necessary.
- Performing preventative periodontal care on patients, including scaling, prophylaxis, root planing, and the application of preventative agents and sealants.
- Performing expanded functions, such as placing and carving amalgam and composite restorations, applying cavity liners, and placing/removing temporary crowns.
- Providing anesthetic for preps for the doctor.
- Administering local anesthesia and nitrous oxide analgesia as necessary.
- Working in tandem with the doctors to carry one column of restorative work each day.
Requirements
- Registered Dental Hygienist License in PA (or eligibility to obtain)
- Nitrous Certification
- Restoration Certification
- Anesthetic Certification
