Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Data Modeler and ETL Specialist to lead the design and development of data models and ETL processes for diverse financial data sets. This role requires a deep understanding of AWS technologies and robust data handling skills to ensure alignment with business goals and operational needs.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models for various financial data sets.
- Collaborate with product management and economic research teams to translate complex data requirements into effective data models.
- Ensure all data models effectively support transactional, analytical, and operational needs and are aligned with business goals.
- Design and implement ETL processes to integrate data from multiple sources into data lakes, ensuring data quality, consistency, and integrity.
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation for all data models and ETL processes to facilitate clarity and operational efficiency.
Minimum Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience with AWS technologies (S3, Redshift, RDS, etc.).
- 3+ years of experience with dbt and orchestration tools such as Airflow, Prefect, or Dagster.
- Strong programming skills in Python or Java.
- Familiarity with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Delta Lake, Iceberg, Arrow, and Data Fusion.
- Familiarity with data governance tools such as Monte Carlo and Atlan.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
