Full Job Description
Key responsibilities of a CT technologist typically include:
1. **Preparing Patients**: Explaining the procedure to patients, ensuring they are comfortable, and addressing any concerns.
2. **Operating Equipment**: Setting up and operating the CT scanner, adjusting settings as necessary to obtain high-quality images.
3. **Positioning Patients**: Accurately positioning patients to obtain the required images while ensuring their safety and comfort.
4. **Administering Contrast Agents**: In some cases, CT technologists may be involved in administering contrast material through an IV to enhance image quality.
5. **Collaboration**: Working closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure appropriate imaging protocols are followed.
6. **Maintaining Equipment**: Ensuring that the CT machine is functioning correctly and reporting any malfunctions.
7. **Recording and Managing Data**: Keeping accurate records of scans and patient information.
Requirements
REQUIREMENTS for this role:
- CPR certification from a hands-on program
- Minimum of 3 years of experience is required, with essential pediatric experience, EPIC experience, and Siemens experience
- High School Diploma/equivalent required
- Technical Diploma from a Radiology Program Required
- Pay Range: $3500 to $3800 per week (taxable) before payroll taxes.
