Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to provide corporate engineering leadership, focusing on Ignition (SCADA) system development, plant electrical support, and equipment installation and troubleshooting. This role will involve hands-on support, collaboration with maintenance teams, and working on advanced automation technologies including PLCs, HMIs, and VFDs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy Ignition SCADA systems, including screen design, scripting, and system integration.
- Support and troubleshoot electrical systems at plant locations, including PLCs, HMIs, and VFDs.
- Manage electrical projects, oversee installations, and perform preventive maintenance.
- Develop and maintain equipment preventative maintenance routines (PMs).
- Ensure safety compliance through regular evaluations and audits.
- Travel to plant locations for system startups and project support.

Requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Degree: 2-4 year degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or similar.
- Experience: 5+ years in industrial electrical engineering or technician roles.
Technical Skills:
- Programming:
- Proficient in Python and SQL for scripting and database integration.
- Experience with Ignition SCADA system development, including screen layout and complex scripting.
- Automation Systems:
- Hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley/Rockwell programming (preferred).
- Knowledge of PLC programming, Operator Interfaces, and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
- Software:
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical for control system design.
- Familiarity with industrial protocols like OPC-UA and database integration tools.
Additional Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Solid understanding of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
Preferred Experience
- Advanced Ignition certification by Inductive Automation.
- Experience with robotics or complex automation systems.
- Knowledge of LEAN Manufacturing and continuous improvement processes.
