Acentra seeks a Clinical Educator to join our growing team.
Job Summary:
As a Clinical Educator, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of care for individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism (ID/A). You will be instrumental in supporting caregivers and enhancing the ID support system through targeted educational programs, data collection, and the proactive identification of healthcare concerns. Your expertise will also extend to the dissemination of critical information and providing specialized technical assistance. This position is designed to empower caregivers with the necessary tools and knowledge to optimize care outcomes and foster an environment of continuous improvement in the support of those with ID/A - intellectual disabilities and autism.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop, revise, and deliver targeted training programs designed to enhance the understanding and skills of customers in promoting the health and welfare of individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism (ID/A).
- Work closely with support teams to improve outcomes related to systemic issues and enhance the quality of life for people with intellectual disabilities and autism.
- Provide evidence-based strategies, best practices, and tools to elevate the skills and capabilities of community service systems and healthcare providers. This includes education, dissemination of information, and consultation to drive meaningful improvements.
- Prepare presentations, handouts, and learning materials to stakeholders.
- Maintain and analyze essential data to assess productivity and effectiveness.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of and compliance with the scope and expectations of the position, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulations.
- Actively participate in meetings with stakeholders as required, representing educational initiatives and contributing to collaborative discussions.

Required Qualifications/Experience:
- Active and unrestricted Licensed (RN) Registered Nurse in the state of Pennsylvania.
- Knowledge and experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities or within supportive programs.
- Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret data and leverage knowledge from education and professional experiences.
- Experience teaching adult learners with knowledge of various teaching methodologies.
- Excellent public speaking and presentation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, complemented by strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills, with a focus on superior customer service.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong capabilities in creating and managing documents, spreadsheets, and internet/web navigation.
- Willingness to travel occasionally within the Health Care Quality Unit (HCQU) service area to meet educational and support needs.

Compensation
The compensation for this role is $53,189.00 base salary.
Based on our compensation program, an applicant’s position placement in the pay range will depend on various considerations, such as years of applicable experience and skill level.
